The pros and cons of "Working From home!"

Why did I decided to name this blog "Work from Home - The Pros and Cons to Online Marketing?"
Well, so many people have asked me to write an article on "Legit Home Based Businesses Opposed to Scam Sites," and I feel honored to share this information with you guys. There a millions of Legitimate Home Based Businesses out there, but with there are also millions of "Scam Sites" out there as well. In my marketing Career I have seen my share of Scams, luckily I was educated beforehand and was able to avoid being lured into these very attractive traps. Most Scam Artist know, they have to get as much money from their victims as soon as possible and disappear before anyone can trace them, but in mot cases these guys are usually living the high life until the proper authorities catch up with them. Most scam sites don't make it pass a few months although some have made it for as long as 2 years before being subdued by the law and hit with stiff prison sentences.

How to tell if a site is "100% Legitimate"

Most people will find this information very useful, and it will truly help you out in your Online Marketing Venture. For almost 4 years now I have been involved in Network Marketing or Affiliate Marketing, and I have learned a lot since I first started. One thing in particular is how to determine whether or not a business is "100% Legit "or "100% a Scam." Below is a few methods I learned both from research, and personal experiences. My hopes is that this will better educate you on "Legit Home Based Businesses" and "Work From Home Opportunities."

1.) Most Companies and businesses that have nothing to hide will have tons of ways to research their businesses. Reviews are always a great way to get good information on a business, and most people who are actually involved with these programs will spend time to make their businesses as professional as possible. Always check Google for a quick review of any company or business to see if you can spot some red flags.

2.) Most Businesses with a good standing reputation have been in business for quite sometime, and this is a great indicator that the company has some sort of value. Legitimate Businesses generally have something solid to sell their customers e.g; A Product or Services with Value. If a company has nothing to offer, I would do a lot of research as it is a automatic red flag for me.

3.) Now this is going to be some of the best advice I can give you from personal experience, Never join a program that requires you to make an investment without any solid way to make income. A lot of companies do have fees for joining, but it is not to become a member, it is for their services, these are called "Referral Programs." For example, "Direct T.V" has a Referral Program where members earn $50 cash or towards their next bill, but you must be a Customer. Boost Mobile also has a Referral Program where you can earn $20 cash or put it towards your next bill, and you must also be a customer. These programs are great for people who are looking to add an extra income or build a substantial income from home.

How to tell if a site is a "Scam!"

There are a few ways to tell whether a program is a scam, but for the sake of this blog I will give you the most common methods to use when determining whether or not a site can be trusted.

1.) Always do a Google Search to read reviews and articles that relate to the website you are researching. Now, this is a tricky step as many scam artist will try anything to lure you into their websites by writing Articles, Blogs, Reviews and etc to make their business look as legitimate as possible. By reading reviews you can easily get honest feedback from people who have actually been a victim of the website or company itself. However, it is always a good Idea to do a search on the BBB or "Better Business Bureau" website as you can find out honest reviews on businesses operating online.

2.) Most "Scam" sites have no value, but offer a big return on some sort of investment. For example, if a company offers thousands of dollars for referring others to their business in order to make money, but have no product with actual value, no service to offer or anything tangible. In most cases, these guys will have you invest your money, then turn around and have you invite more people to the same "Pyramid Scheme" or better referred to as a "Ponzi Scheme" where you are not selling nothing but memberships to a program with nothing to offer.

3.) If you are researching a program or company, but you cannot find a website, article, blog or anything other than a link with a payment option, this is a huge red flag. Most businesses or companies have a solid website with certificates indicating not only are these guys serious about protecting their visitors information, but they also invest a pretty penny to maintain their business websites and blogs as professional as possible. Almost every "Scam Site" I have seen did not have any contact information, no customer support, there were no online reviews or anything like that.

To be honest, a lot of times people will simply call anything a scam, and it is always a good idea to research a company regardless if someone is screaming scam or not.
